Based on Law Number 12 of 2012, ITB becomes a Legal Entity PTN (PTN-BH).

Based on ITB Rector Decree No. 222 / SK / K01 / OT / 2005 dated August 29, 2005, the Study Program at ITB is no longer a "source organization" but only a "program organization". Therefore the ITB Architecture Study Program refers to the Vision and Mission of ITB and the Faculties / Schools (School of Architecture, Planning and Policy Development - SAPPK) as the source organization.

ITB's vision
ITB's vision is to become a university that is superior, dignified, independent, and recognized by the world as well as guiding changes that can improve the welfare of the Indonesian people and the world.

ITB's mission
create, share and apply science, technology, arts, social sciences and humanities and produce superior human resources to make Indonesia and the world better.

The vision, mission, goals and objectives that are used as references for study programs are at the faculty level (School of Architecture, Planning and Policy Development abbreviated as SAPPK) as the source organization.

SAPPK vision
To become a leading education and research institution in Asia and with an international reputation in the planning, design and development of sustainable built environment policies.

SAPPK Mission
1. Make a significant contribution to the creation and dissemination of scientific knowledge in the field of planning, design and development of built environment policies, as well as their application for improving community welfare, fostering sustainable environments, so that the possibility of increasing institutional capacity and supporting human resources at the local to national levels, through synergy between educational, research and community service activities.
2. Developing education programs in the field of planning, designing and developing built environment policies, which are able to foster the ability to think creatively and critically as well as ethical and responsible attitudes to graduates, so that they are ready to become reliable professionals, entrepreneurs, leaders and agents of change in society.
3. Encourage the growth of academic activities and collaborative efforts with special attention to issues concerning: good governance; community based and participatory approach; local knowledge, culture and identity; harmonization between global vs local challenges and opportunities.
