SAPPK WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE "OPEN HOUSE ITB" EDUCATIONAL EXHIBITION IN 2023
On 1-3 December 2023, the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) will again hold the annual educational exhibition Open House ITB 2023 with the title #FUTURETOGETHER which is centered at Sasana Budaya Ganesha (Sabuga). This Open House prioritizes the theme of a sustainable future as ITB's step to take the role of providing solutions for the future. The ITB School of Architecture, Planning and Policy Development (SAPPK) also took part in enlivening the ITB Open House activities this year. A series of activities were held starting from exhibitions of student work, educational consultations with lecturers and students from SAPPK Study Programs, presentations introducing SAPPK, typical Study Program workshops, and no less busy were Campus Tour activities.
The exhibition of student work was held at the SAPPK booth in the lobby of the Sabuga building. Visitors, the majority of whom are high school students who are interested in entering SAPPK, can see directly the work of SAPPK students - including students of the Architecture and Regional and City Planning (PWK) Study Program. Not only that, high school students and their parents can consult directly with lecturers and students who are present at the consultation booth, either offline at the booth or online via Zoom.
Apart from that, there was also a presentation session introducing SAPPK at Dream Stage 2, Sabuga. The presentation was delivered directly by Mr. Ar. Aswin Indraprastha, Ph.D. as Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs – SAPPK, Mr Dr-Ing. Andry Widyowijatnoko as Head of the Bachelor of Architecture Study Program, and Mr. Dr. Petrus Natalivan Indradjati as Head of the Regional and City Planning Undergraduate Study Program. The session was attended by students and parents from all over Indonesia, enthusiastically asking questions to get to know SAPPK more closely.
Open House visitors were also presented with the experience of trying out work typical of the Study Program with workshop activities organized by the student association, namely "Your Dream City" by HMP Pangripta Loka from PWK and "Build Your Own House!" by IMA Gunadharma from Architecture. Both workshops were very popular with high school students, even the number of participants exceeded the previously determined quota.
Activities that are not busy are Campus Tour activities. Open House visitors visited the Architectural Design Studio located in the Architecture Building - Labtek IX-B and the Regional and City Planning Studio located in the Labtek IX-A building. Visitors can see firsthand what the working atmosphere in the studio is like for students, the results of student work, and the learning facilities provided by SAPPK for students.
Hopefully, with the implementation of the 2023 ITB Open House, the presence of SAPPK with its series of activities can inspire high school students who will register at SAPPK ITB as prospective students in the next academic year.
For you high school students, we are waiting for you at SAPPK ITB.
